Inform us as soon as possible about your expected arrival time. Check-in is from 4 pm. In exceptional cases, a different arrival or departure time can be agreed upon booking.

If you arrive late and it is already dark, the house may be a little more difficult to find. Our Cortijo is situated in the middle of nature, making it difficult to find the way in the dark (without any lighting in ‘the campo’).

Check out is 12:00 noon at the latest on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed upon when booking.

As soon as you have paid the down payment of 20%, you will receive your personal information brochure. This includes a detailed route description to our Cortijo.

All information about groceries, restaurants, and important telephone numbers of fire brigade, police, doctor, hospital etc. can be found under the ‘practical’ section of this website.

Towels, sheets, pillows and blankets or duvets are provided and included in the price. Our house also has a washing machine where sheets and towels can be washed in-between.

The final cleaning is included. You are expected to leave the house tidy, dishes done, the refrigerator emptied and the waste removed.

There are garbage bags present, but in Andalusia the garbage is NOT collected at home. There are various central containers that have been emptied on time and on. The closest from our cortijo are:

• Direction Villanueva de Tapia – At the entrance of the house with large green hangar.
• Direction Archidona – Over the highway on the access road to Archidona left, right in front of the square
  Gradually, separate waste containers are also popping up everywhere (as in Archidona) for glass, paper and cardboard and plastics.

Special facilities for small children:

• cot with blanket, pillow, and sheets
• child’s seat
• children’s cutlery, cups and plates
  If you would like to make use of these, please let us know upon booking, we will make sure that this is ready for you.

The main house has a fully equipped kitchen for the maximum number of guests with dishwasher (dishwasher tablets are present in proportion to the number of days of stay), microwave, oven, gas fire, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. (kitchen towels and dishwashing liquid are also provided).

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, vitro ceramic hob with 2 plates, refrigerator with integrated freezer.

Water, gas and electricity are also included.

Extra wood for the stove is available for a fee. Please indicate when booking the stay if you are interested in this.

There is a chronic shortage of water in Andalusia. Water and electricity are expensive and can stagnate from time to time. We can not be held responsible for this.

The safety of children and others using the pool is the responsibility of the tenant. Children should never be at the swimming pool without adult supervision.

Our swimming pool is not heated and can be used from April to October, weather permitting. It is kept clean all year.

Pets are not allowed. Neither in the house nor on the patio or terraces.

The house and appartement are no smoking. When somking on the terraces, please do dispose of the  cigarette butts properly and do not throw them in the garden or flower beds.

Our Cortijo is located in the ‘campo’, ie in the countryside, amidst the olive trees.

In the campo it is definitely not always quiet: almost everywhere you will hear dogs, birds and other animals. Sometimes a farmer with an agricultural machine can go to work on a piece of land in the neighborhood. These sounds are part of the deal, and are certainly part of that other world: the charm of the authentic interior of Andalusia.

By law, it is prohibited in the campo of Andalusia to use a BBQ during the summer months (from May to October), because of the great risk of fire. Violation of the ban is severely punished. For that reason there is no BBQ available in our Cortijo. May we ask you to respect this and not bring or buy a BBQ yourselves.

There is wireless internet available in our Cortijo. The internet in Spain is limited, do not use it for streaming video. It is sufficient to consult some web pages, answer your e-mails and to skype or FaceTime.

A deposit of 200 euros per stay will be charged on top of the rent with the second payment. If no damage to the accommodation has been noted on your departure, the deposit will be refunded in full within 14 days.

Your data will not be passed on to anyone. If that is legally required, your information can, however, be passed on to the authorities. By booking you agree to this clause.
